MENSTRUAL MUSES
Menstrual Muses is a participatory digital platform and research-based art project that collects and showcases artworks exploring menstruation, cyclical bodies, and menstrual justice. The website functions as an open archive where artists from around the world can submit work responding to menstrual experiences through illustration, photography, writing, and other media. By bringing these works together, the project challenges stigma, expands visual representation of menstruation, and creates a space where embodied experiences that are often hidden or silenced can be shared collectively.
Developed as part of my thesis at RISD, Menstrual Muses investigates how art and design can facilitate conversations around menstrual justice while building a more inclusive visual culture around cyclical bodies.
